oh wow. I thought my entry was good...then this came along...SUPERB colors and dynamic range here! I can't wait to see who and what camera took this one.

I'm not too sure exactly what that glowing is around the rooftops, but I don't care -- absolutely beautiful image here!

Never A Cross Word

I've never been good at crosswords (I always do them in the TV GUIDE but I wait until the next copy is out so I can cheat before I begin).

Very good idea...I'm sure a lot of people do crosswords to pass the time. The image seems dark overall, which might be the mood you are trying to convey (if that is the case then it's fine)...personally, I think a little more lighting could have done your entry justice, but that's just me and I'm not marking you down any for it.

Good depth of field, but I think the focus may be a bit off (or camera shake). It's a good photo and a good idea, but the lack of sharpness really hurts it. Good idea though!

Candid, Waiting for the train

Interesting. The expression on the girl's face furthest from the camera is really good. The only reason I know they're waiting for a train is because you told me -- otherwise, I just see a cluttered background and foreground...but I suppose you don't have much to work with when doing candids. A lower DOF might bring more attention to the two or possibly bring more into the frame.

Either way, I like the image...it's strong.

Well, I think you have a nice idea going on here and a good theme, but the image just came out much too cluttered to really have that 'punch' if you know what I mean. The watch and the feathers cover a large portion of that object -- it's hard to tell what exactly it is (a tape, a large CD case, and eight-track [before my time]).

In summary, less clutter and I think the image would be stronger.
