I like the subject but it doesnt look like he's in the middle of a gig playing that chord for the fans...more like in the dining room. If this was onstage with stage lighting and some atmosphere it would have been stunning.

Sorry but in my opinion EITHER the subject or the background should be in focus for the motion blur effect to work and not just look like a blurry photo.

Sorry Gordon for my confusing comment.

I thought the DOF of the flowers looked odd. Almost like extra flowers had been added to the foreground and blurred. The placing of the single red flower among the blue looked too good to be true too. I see now that with your super dooper camera, the perfect location and the patiece of a patient saint that this was a genuuine stunning photo. I wouldnt have changed my score either way since I voted on it's effectiveness as a magazine cover and not on my (false) perceptions of post shot editing. Well done again.
