Hi there ' . substr('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', strrpos('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', '/') + 1) . ' kawesttex Ken,

I am a Registered User, but I let my membership lapse and am NOT a current member. I don't enter many challenges, but love the site for its discussion. I have also received an enormous amount of assistance from members of which I am most appreciative.

With respect to you and your photograph, I see that in the image Turning the Corner it has the words "This image is not part of any challenge."

Am I permitted to do this?

You see when I upload images to the Photo Domino game, I have been uploading them to my media page on my Wordpress site and copying the URL so that they appear in the game.

For some reason, they are about 4 times the size of the other images.

What am I doing incorrectly?

Great Shot. Did you take it from a train?

This is my favourite image. I love the composition. Would have been nice to see the subject doing something like holding plans or sweeping with a broom or looking through a theodolite or just holding something up to his face to give the idea that he is busy doing something as opposed to just standing there. Still my favourite.

Lovely picture, but far too much headroom.

Thank you kindly for your comments, Susan.

The shot was actually taken at about 3.45 pm in the afternoon.

I think that many of the trees are various types of gum trees found in Western Australia. Once planted they grow like wildfire.

Not sure why they have no bark.

I welcome your comments and I thank you once again.

Cheers

This is my favourite shot in this series.
It has all the components of the S curve.
It's not only artistically creative, but is very pleasant to view.
Well done.

The image is a lot better than the score revealed. I think that you were hard done by. Beautifully framed.

In this series, there was another tree that was not so well framed and it scored higher!!!!

This is one of my favourites. This centred composition really works with all those lines and the curved railing.

If I wanted to be really picky, I would comment on the very top left-hand side of the image where we see a glimpse of a darkened area. A slightly tighter crop may have fixed that OR you may have been able to clone the colour of the beam, in that area.

I understand that it is natural and it's only my pickiness that's talking, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Good work. Well done.
