Spin Doctorby NeilComment: Really like this, but the spider is just a TAD hot and/or possibly over-sharpened. 8 |

Strange Music-by streetpigeonComment: Took me a while to figure it out. Very cool idea. I'd be giving this a 9 or maybe a 10 if the horizontal lines weren't off. Some are straight, more are not and it's making my OCD react badly. |

Silver shadeby jnenvirComment: Almost too busy. OK, not almost. I'd love to see a closer crop, perhaps. |

Pylons without a Pierby MargaretNetComment: Great shot but I hate the busy horizon. With nothing you can do about that in this light I would have cropped at the water line. A little awkward, but less distracting. |

Nature meets Manby nygoldComment: if you're going to do bricks then use your perspective correction to get the lines either even or interesting. |

Rolling Gatesby EnlightenedComment: Really like it, but am bothered by the lack of a vertical or horizontal along the rail. I don't think that would have hurt the photo. |

What, you couldn't have given me a 10 to get me over the 6 mark?! :) (it would have, btw) |

Dew On The Lilyby JakeKurdsjukComment: Thanks for the comments, aliqui and Revecca. The idea was to focus on the dew and not the flower, so I wonder whether kiwinick read the title, and if not would that have made a difference. Funny thing is, this sat at about 6.5 until the last 2 days and then fell like a lead balloon, as did my distortion shot, so there must have been some cranky voters. LOL |

Sun Streaking Through The Leaves (IR)by JakeKurdsjukComment: Originally posted by pearlseyes: Wth? Some times I don't understand the voters. Has your camera been altered for Ir photography or is it just sensitive? |
I'm glad you like the photo - and I've given up trying to understand the voters. Yes, this is taken with an IR converted Nikon D7000 using a Sigma 8-16mm zoom. The shutter was engaged with the zoom at 16mm and I zoomed out during the exposure period doing my best to keep the sun spot steady. Handheld shot at 1/30, so it's a fast zoom and not quite as hard as it sounds.
Again, thanks for the comment, and I'm glad you like it. |
