Really like this, but the spider is just a TAD hot and/or possibly over-sharpened. 8

Took me a while to figure it out. Very cool idea. I'd be giving this a 9 or maybe a 10 if the horizontal lines weren't off. Some are straight, more are not and it's making my OCD react badly.

Almost too busy. OK, not almost. I'd love to see a closer crop, perhaps.

Great shot but I hate the busy horizon. With nothing you can do about that in this light I would have cropped at the water line. A little awkward, but less distracting.

if you're going to do bricks then use your perspective correction to get the lines either even or interesting.

Really like it, but am bothered by the lack of a vertical or horizontal along the rail. I don't think that would have hurt the photo.

Thanks for the comments, aliqui and Revecca. The idea was to focus on the dew and not the flower, so I wonder whether kiwinick read the title, and if not would that have made a difference. Funny thing is, this sat at about 6.5 until the last 2 days and then fell like a lead balloon, as did my distortion shot, so there must have been some cranky voters. LOL

I commented in the last ten minutes of the challenge and gave you a 9 so I know it wasn't my fault! LOL. It still shocks me that this dropped as much as you say it did.

What, you couldn't have given me a 10 to get me over the 6 mark?! :) (it would have, btw)

I'm glad you like the photo - and I've given up trying to understand the voters. Yes, this is taken with an IR converted Nikon D7000 using a Sigma 8-16mm zoom. The shutter was engaged with the zoom at 16mm and I zoomed out during the exposure period doing my best to keep the sun spot steady. Handheld shot at 1/30, so it's a fast zoom and not quite as hard as it sounds.

Again, thanks for the comment, and I'm glad you like it.
