In a word... snapshot. This looks very uncomposed, almost accidental. To improve this type of shot, I would suggest some interaction between the two subjects, i.e. touching, or looking at each other, etc. Also bring them closer together which will allow you to focus close on the faces thus avoiding distracting BG items (picture frame, etc).

This is a sweet image ... but... its overexposed causing hotspots on the baby's skin, also composition is arranged in such a way that they have a tree "growing out of their heads". A step to the left or right would have avoided that.
