Seems a little soft and if you could shoot it without the shadow.

Yeah it meets the challenge, but is this really something you'd see hanging on someone's wall?

Clever, but there is a hair on his right arm. Probably wouldn't know it was made of chese if it wasn't on the title. Next time, maybe put the little "real" tag on it (that tag that is on all real cheese).

Funny snapshot, but not much artistic merit.

Greetings from the Critique Club Garret.

I like the simplicity and the geometry of this photo, but I think it might be a little too simple. A straight up building, solid black sky, plain block lettersâ€Â¦ There is nothing that really jumps out and says wow. Maybe try it right after sunset with some interesting clouds? Or try a more interesting/unusual angle?
I do like the way the lighted parts frame the building, but did you know if dropped the aperture down to about 4 you̢۪d get some starburst from them and that might give the photo a little wow factor?

Greetings from the Critique Club Shannon.

The first thing I notice when I look at your image is that great blue sky. The second thing I notice is the dull, drab concrete wall. If I were taking this, the guy would be on the bottom left of the photo and I̢۪d take it from a few steps to your left. This gives the guy a little angle so you get more of a side view of his face looking out, gives you a lot more of that great blue sky and makes it fit the rule of thirds. It makes the image more about the sky, and oh yeah there is a guy singing in the corner. Maybe? Straight on and centered usually is not going to be the best option. A touch of neat image to clean the noise in the sky would help too.
It̢۪s still a good image as is, and looking at your other submissions I think you have a real good eye. I expect to see some real great stuff from you in the future!

Greetings from the Critique Club Anna:

First off, I added you to my favs list because I realize I neglected to add you before. You are easily one of the best photographers on the site (in my opinion).

On to your photoâ€Â¦ I think it’s perfectly done for what you were going for. The lighting is perfect, the props are great and I like that you have the marker there by your hand (Green Day rocks BTW). And what a great idea! The photo definitely gives the mood of a love struck teenager separated from their love. The writing is like random thoughts, the differences in size shade and capitalization also makes it seem more random, really giving the photo that emotional touch. But a permanent marker? Ouch, I bet it was fun removing. Next time just use a washable marker and use the permanent one as a prop :)
While it̢۪s not a traditional greeting card with flowers or puppies, I do think it fits the challenge well and personally I like it better then the flowers and puppies. I don̢۪t shop for cards very often, but I know in the last few years cards like this are starting to pop up. Sending a card like this to someone would really get your message across.

Great job as usual. I always look forward to your next submission.
