Bass Guitaristby pitsamanComment: This is one of the most interesting of all the portraits in this challenge. My only sugestion would be to add a bit more negative space/background. THeway the subject is sitting/posed calls for a bit more balance. However, overall Ithink this is one of the best photos in this challenge. I think you're going to do really well. Good luck! |

Actorby helgihelgiComment: This one really stands out. You chose an interesting subject who is actually doing something and I really commend you for doing something "outside the box" - I really like the tones, the contrast, the lighting, the expression and overall composition. I have the feeling you'll be in the top three or four with this one. good luck! |

Young Loveby YomiComment: The skin tones and lighting on this one are pitch perfect. I think it's a great composition. My only suggestion would be to show a tiny (and I mean tiny) bit of the shoulders/arms - just because it would add to the fact that these two are also showing a bit of affection. I love the smiles and expressions. Overall, this is an excellent image and I'm sure you're going to do really well in this challenge. |

Purfect Night Visionby Dim7Comment: What a sweet little cat. I'm not sure i fyou used a flash on this one, and I know cat eyes are among the hardest images to capture. I think you did a really good job. I've experimented with my own little guy adn I find his eyes look better when there is less light being projected into them (either from a natural source, room lighting or from a flash). However, you did really well here and I love the expression on your little guy's face. Good luck! |

looking out for number oneby xburnerxComment: A great pose adn a great expression. The contrast is excellent in this one and is well served. My only suggestion would be to show a tiny bit more of the negative space in the background. I know negative space doesn't always add to an image, but the subject is posed so that you almost expect just a few more pixels of background to balance out the composition. Overall I really like th eimage though. i hope you do well. |

Love Bunniesby hughletherenComment: A great idea for this challenge. I like the overall composition. My only suggestion is that maybe a bit of photo shop work woudl be in order. THere seems to be a harsh amount of light against the lipstick and the pupil. It's a very sharp image and I like it a lot, but the reflections of hte light is a little bit distracting. Softening the white lights in the pupils would strengthen the overall image. However, I really like the overall effect and I"m sure you'll do well. Good luck! |
