Strength of a 30 minutes rain on a Summer Seasonby arbil14Comment: I love this, but the image seems to need a bit more sharpness - I realize the boys and the rain is moving, but at least one thing should be in focus for this to really stand out (maybe the grass in the forefront). Overall I love it though - 8 |

Strength through Faithby hallswelComment: For some reason we always get a lot of christian symbols in these challenges. I like to vote on a) uniqueness and originality b) good composition c) excellent lighting that makes the image "pop" (I have trouble with this myself) d) good DOF (if appropriate) and e) a crisp, clear image free of tons of noise and compression artifacts. I'm starting to feel the religious and american symbols are not as unique anymore. This one has good composition, but the lighting doesn't really make it pop. I'm not sure what you could do differently with the lighting. It seems like there is a lot of noise and pixelation. I realize I'm only one voter and there are quite a few Christians involved in DP challenge so this image may speak to them more personally. . - 5 |

The only other suggestion I have (for future challenges) is to try to use up the entire 640x480 pixel space for the image. You'll find most winners have large images. - 5 |

2 3sby fanfuineComment: This is an absolutely brilliant image. I love just about everything about it. I'm not sure if it meets the challenge description, but I've decided I don't care. This is one of the best images in this bunch. - 9 |

...no, it wasn't me!by broken tripodComment: This image has a lot of extra pixels/noise in it. I'm wondering if you need to use ISO 100 or under if you're taking shots. The lighting in this seems a bit off and the image doesn't really stand out> it's taken from a unique and interesting angle, but the subjects just don't pop. -5 |

Weak Pier & Windy Weather & Strong Legsby MonaComment: I absolutely love this. I have the feeling you may have sharpened the image a bit too much. On my screen, the sharpness is a bit too much. I think you have great rich colours and contrast already and maybe didn't need to sharpen it so much. However, this really stands out as an original and unique submission - 7 |
