A Beater of Whipped Creamby kashiComment: I gave this a 9. I think the post-processing really worked great on it. I know that images processed like this often do not do well, but I was really surprised to see how low this was voted. I loved it. Great composition, great sharpness, great color in the eyes, great details even with the high-key processing. The bang-on eye contact really makes it. Liza |

visionsby Car54Comment: This was one of 2 10s that I gave in this challenge (and I voted on all 600+ entries!) I tihnk this is perfection. The light on the glasses is fantastic. Everything works - lighting, angle, composition, exposure, etc. Excellent work! |

The Flea Market Dogby LN13Comment: I love the lighting here. It works so well to bring out the shape and texture of the pup in this lowkey shot. The eyes are great. I think the bright spots at the bottom of the frame are distracting. Very nicely done. 7 from me. |

Edgeby JutildaComment: I like the bokeh of the green background, but I think I would like it if the antenae were in focus as well as the bug and petals. I love the contrasting orange and green. 7 from me. |

Two Womenby alonzo4bComment: Interesting shot. I am not sure that I like/know how to interpret they way that the one woman is (literally) throwing a shadow onto the other woman's face. If there was a special intent with this lighting, it was unfortunately lost on me. It just seems too hot on the cheek of the foreground subject, and too shadowy on the face of the background subject. |

Crested Larkby SaraRComment: A beautiful capture of this little lark. I think it is a little flat in the midtones. Some contrast could really make this pop! I like the composition and your angle, with the horizon below the bird. 6 from me. |

The Hand Of ...by tmckinneyComment: Hello from the critique club!
Interesting shot. it is hard to tell what the subject is, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I like the lines of the composition. I like how the diagonal of the arm is balanced by the line of the clouds cutting across the frame.
The composition is inconventional (again, not necessarily a bad thing). THe hand is dead center, with the arm throwing the balance off to the left side. I think it's kind of interesting.
The conversion is very dark, and your shadows are blocked and have lost detail. That makes it especially hard to see the details that are important, like the definition of the two fingers that overlap with the palm. I think that hurt you the most here - the harsh lighting and lost details in the shadows.
Please feel free to pm me if you have any questions about my comment. Happy shooting!

Every Wall falls downby janbruderComment: Beautifully done and I love the white highlights on black look. This would have rocked if the tops of the water drops were not cut off in the reflection. Still a 7. |

Ice Princessby JedusiComment: The skin tones are quite cool (at elast on my monitor) but that goes with the title and feel of the image, I guess. Wonderful blue eyes. Nice directional lighting. I think it could use a ltitle bit of contrast, but that is a personal preference. 6 from me. |
