Great DOF. I like how it makes the blurred grass (foreground and background)look around the sharp apple. It also makes the model's lips stand out of the backgorund, which adds to the "eating the poisonous apple" idea.

My favorite of the challenge! I love the lighting and the colors. The soft focus on the model is awesome, and really gives it that fairy tale feeling. I honestly can't think of a suggestion to improve it. - 10

I noticed that you only got one comment during the challenge, so I wanted to add one for you. I think it is the background that makes this look like a snapshot. It is messy and busy and a little too shadowed. The b&w seems little off, but I am not an expert on this. There are many on this site who could give great advice on this. A smaller critique is that it is cropped a little too tight on the left side, I think. I really like the composition with the baby in the upper corner and the mom's arms reaching out for her. It is a great capture of the baby's expression. For the challenge, it definitly does say "hope" to me. Because of the technical problems, I gave it a 5. These are just my amateur impressions, but I wanted to give you some more feedback. - Liza

Good idea and a nice picture. I really like the composition and I think the crop is perfect. The shadow cast by the frog on the person's chin is the only thing that detracts from this shot for me.

Great capture. Good composition. The b&w is done perfectly here, to my eye. I like the way the chain link shows up in the foreground against the black part of the background, but somehow it gets a little confusing and distracting on the left side of the picture. I am not sure how you could have done it differently, though. 9 from me.
