My 8-year old son and I enjoyed this shot. I asked him how he thought it was done and his initial response was that you must have taken the picture very quickly before the liquid settled/ran out...then he quickly retreated because of the difficulty of doing that with the fully inverted upper glass and I challenged him to think of different ways it could be done...he came up with paint, taping or gluing something in the glasses and a couple other pretty good ideas...and he got excited as he got more creative...Oh well, probably more than you need to know! But we did enjoy it and I think this creative shot helped my son better understand that there often are many different ways to achieve a result/solve a problem which was a fun process to witness. Thanks!

Wow! Great shot. Impressive lighting without any reflector...did you use a fill flash or anything other than natural light? The sweater and shirt kind of blend together (not a bad thing at all - all attention is drawn to her face) - wonder if a tighter crop to reduce some of the lower part of this picture would work?

Thanks for the comments, Nusbaum. The windows are behind my daughter, camera left. I used a round, collapsible reflector which is the catch light (appears to only show the upper half of the reflector in her eyes...not sure why). Only natural light and the reflector.

For those keeping score at home, that would be scored as Eagle 1, cute city bird 0.

Very cool. What are the stepped lines on the back of the truck in the foreground? The more I look at it, the more interesting things I see!

I like this a lot - was it shot through a window?
