Its backlight but it appears to be more of a silhouette. My monitor is calibrated as well on both machines and still looks the same. Interesting picture tho and probably would have done better in a different challenge.

a beautiful shot but the title takes your attention away from the shot. The title would suggest you were shooting the bull in which case would not fit the challenge BUT since the backlight cloud is centered and drawing the eye into the picture I think this shot should do a lot better then your going to get credit for so I'm gonna give it a <8>

edit: was gonna vote it lower but after looking at it for the past 10 minutes it is really good but you title does need help.

the subject sucks as I am not a fan of lamps or cats. However seeing that it is a semi-profile shot of backlighting it gives the shot overall a different look then everybody elses. Perhaps a different sublect with a little more vibrant colors <5>

after editing try and resize it and then save as a different file name with compression. this should make the image bigger when people view it. As for the picture... the subject lacks interest even tho it meets the challenge. Maybe a more colorful object would have done better.

Nice but might i suggest a tighter crop as in a smaller square. If you crop from the person's hand thats holding her to the top left corner might have been a nicer picture. <5>
