The Green Leafby photomComment: I like your choice to name your entry "The Green Leaf" and have the leaf in focus, even though this is a purple challenge. Compositionwise, I'm not sure I like the 2 grapes one on top of the other. I would've cut out the grape at the bottom and placed it behind the leaf and 2nd grape on the right side higher than the grape on the far left, forming a triangle. |

Saltwater Solitudeby muur88Comment: Image is heavily oversharpened. Where is the purple? The sky or the chromatic abberation around the lights? Nice composition, could've been technically executed much better. |

Duskby BlueDragonComment: This is certainly purple alright.. an effect that could be applied to ANY photo. Why this one? Tallest sailboat in center is distracting. |

One Monkey Short of a Full Benchby GeneralEComment: The only thing resembling "purple" I see is the pole in back of the Hear No Evil monkey next to the red pole. Other than that, this photo does not depict nor suggest purple. Bench is slanted and does not benefit from this abstract angle, even though shrine/wall in back is horizontally level. |

tree trunkby RoosterComment: I'd never guess what this was had it not been for the title. Very abstract. Nice framing and choice of vertical composition. |

Soft Loveby kevrobertsonComment: Focus is also soft to the point of being blurry. Good idea, could've been executed better. |

Purple Essentials 101= "blue + red = purple"by theodor38Comment: Another effect that we've seen before and must be technically executed well to score. There appears to be a white "smudge" in the blue half and as well in the bottom right of the red half. Could've been easily corrected in Photoshop. Wineglass also appears soft in focus. |
