Since joining DPC in November (2003), I`ve been pleasantly surprised at the quality of the work that gets submitted.
However, this particular shot caught my eye almost immediately, and still remains my favourite piece of photography on view here.
From the idea to the execution..it is absolutely perfect.
I know it`s a bit late in the day...but congratulations on a superb job and one which I use as a benchmark for my work.
(Still a long way off, but I`m hopeful)

I received a few comments regarding the tight cropping of this picture and it is something I agonised over before submitting.
I tried various permutations before deciding to go with this one.
On reflection, I might have added a little on the right of the picture but not on the left as the moon tended to look isolated in that set up.
I wanted to give the impression of the aeroplane trying to get out the shot..which is why it ended up like this.

Thanks to all who commented and voted on it..much appreciated.

Wish I could find this sort of building near me :-(
It`s design must make it a very prized subject for photography.
You have taken advantage of it`s assets very well indeed and the motion blur of the clouds works very well with the overall sharpness of the shot. I think that the other buildings (in the foreground and to the right) help the composition by adding a splash of contrasting colour. Excellent shot..well done....9

Designs and colours all work well in this picture.. a clear blue backdrop rather than the bushes/trees (which show signs of over manipulation) would have made this perfect.
