Mag format? Anyway, this shot can be improved had the railings at the bottom been cropped out. I like the colors of the sky though.

Great colors. However, IMHO, the DOF is quite shallow. I prefer to see a bit of the stem in focus. Thanks.

This is a very powerful portrait shot! You well-deserved the TOP slot (very comfortably). I also LOVE all your pictures.

Steve McCurry is also my all time favorite phoyographer.

I can't believe I "made" it to the top three this time. After 3 fourth place finish, I though the ribbon will continually elude me. I am very overwhelmed with the results and I knew the competition was so stiff after looking at the other entries.

Anyway, this picture of my student in my Psychology class last semester is a stroke of luck. Trying out my new D70, I came across Kittie on the hallway and I asked her to pose for me (and enter her picture in a competition if it turns out well). She relented. The background is the white wall of our school.

And by the way, Kittie is on the cover of a Thai magazine this week. She is a part-time ramp and print ad model.

THANK YOU EVERYONE for giving me my first ribbon! And to the one who gave me a 1, I actually like it as it reminds me of how much I have to learn yet in the field of photography.

the choice of sepia is great. the light on her hair adds drama. maybe more on the eye level would have captured range of emotion.

Very nice with the hair touched by the wind. The green at the back is a bit distracting but other than that, it is a very good portrait.

A tighter crop on top might help. Having said that, the colors in this one are very distinct. Overall a good shot but needs a more unconventional approach, IMHO.

Good, sharp and crisp. Too centered though. But this is something this man will surely love to see.
