This photo was taken using a tripod and remote cable release. The light trails are just as they appeared.

Hmm...1 comment, a vote of a "2"! Seems strange to me that the photo was commented on as not being macro or near macro....the details of this challenge said you need not use your macro feature, but your image should be a close-up shot. My photo was too soft, but it did meet the challenge and was voted low for it. Thanks for the "comment", but it did meet the challenge.

Challenge: Macro V
Rules: Advanced Editing (Updated 1/3/05)
Details: It's been a while! Get up close and personal with the subject of your choice. You need not specifically use your macro feature, but your image should be a close-up shot.

Would love to see more of an edge to the table, but the blown out spot just along the edge is pretty distacting. The building in the background also pulls me away somewhat. Great shot overall, and I love the tones.

I like the tilt. It serves the purpose of leading your eyes to where the bike rider may be going. Maybe a little dodge/burn could have helped bring out other details, but the soft skys don't detract enough of your attention to really bother me that much.

Great shot to me...can't say much more. If it were a little sharper right in the middle...would be really great.

Everything looks great to me, except for not being able to see a little more detail under the window pane. A little more detail would have made this really stand out. It is a little blown out on the bottom left corner of the glass.

This expressed what "darkness" meant to me...which is what the challenge was about. NOT what "darkness" means to others!
