05 - Birches In WInterby ursulaComment: Zooming in foing from the blue diagonal to the tree trunks, there's yet another level of intriguing detail visible of the branches if you care to look. Nice. |

Week 5 - Texturesby BeckyTComment: Interesting choice t go for f/25 and 1" exposure. You would expect to see quite a bit of diffraction at this aperture, and at 1" you tripod had better be a sturdy one. I also don't see why you would need the larger DoF, especially in a case like this where you could have the subject perfectly in the plane of focus.
The result is a good picture, maybe with too harsh shadows for my liking (as soon as you invite people to comment you are bound to get conflicting responses all the time!), but a nice contrast between the softness of the feather (hardened by the contrast) and the hardness of the broken shells (?). |

The-Night-Visitorsby jomariComment: Nice little critters. Well captured. They've spotted you, and no doubt that they'll run off quickly. |

Civil War Battle Reenactment - Prairie Grove Arkansasby dandavisComment: I'm with Kroburg on this one. The cannon here looks black, in the B&W version it is a cowardly grey. And teh cannon acrries the shot, plus the people next to the house and stairs. The other people behind the cannon are all a dsitractor, in particular the 20th century citizens.
But overall a nice shot. |

MJO_1938by MattOComment: You're a pro, and it shows. I for one would have messed up the lighting on het glasses, and be left with a horrible shadow on her right cheek. But you get it all sorted out, and can conentrate on her expression and the right moment. Good job. |

Walkiesby AbraComment: Great textbook example of a hairlight, and how that nicely separates the subject from the background. Like the leading lines, nicely fitting the subject(s). |

_MG_9262by ScooterMcNuttyComment: The best shot by far. The piercing eyes work well. I like this shot a lot, but the shadow is a deal breaker. It makkes her head look dis-attached from her body. Very photogenic model with great potential. Love to see more! |
