I am very impressed with this photograph. The clarity of the sitting man against the motion of the moving people is very compelling. I see the subject as "left behind" and can certainly see it tying into some form of NG scenario. Technically, the only thing I can see is that the background may be a tad too white, a tad too contrasted, but I believe that is a matter of personal taste. One of my highest scores this challenge.

I love the concept. Very creative and imaginative. The photograph itself is quite unfocused and the focal point seems to be the texture of the middle of the finger. My suggestions for this image would be to (1) make sure the whole finger and fingernail is in the frame,(2) the focal point is the lens itself and is in crystal-clear focus and (3) a slight adjustment of light angle and/or source to reduce the hot spots .

I like the abstract and grainy quality of this image - but am unsure how it meets the challenge topic.

I believe this is the best photograph in this challenge. I love the DOF - the way is forces your eye to the sunlit spot on her leg and THEN to her hair. It's very appealing to me. Good luck.

How wonderful! Are these small paper cocktail umbrellas? In any case, it's lovely. My single suggestion is that the background be all sky with no tree in the corner, it is slightly distracting. Beautiful.

I love this! Wonderful clarity inside the distortion. Perect for the challenge. The only suggestion I might offer is that I might have lost the right corner tail lights from the composition in order to give it a cleaner arc.

Great job! It was one of my favourites, it's amazing how sharp everything is but the ornament has the spinning effect! :-)

Thanks so much for that :) - I didn't realize the effect was so subtle and was disappointed because I really quite liked this photograph and took some considerable effort setting it up.

It's a good lesson in subjectivity, though. Next time I'm getting a second opinion before I post to a challenge :)

Thanks for the kind comment.

This is a gorgeous photograph. I love the monotone and the composition is brilliant. The shadow in the corner adds something positive for me in terms of the atmosphere of the photo but it is slightly distracting aesthetically. I can't decide whether I think it's a flaw or a bonus. I really love the treatment you gave this picture.
