Camera diopter out of focus slightly causing carpet to gain the focus.... couldn't get dog back in place with same look so I went ahead with it hoping people wouldn't be overly harsh (and they were not, so thank you!!)

Interesting take on washing out the focal point of the image. Sadly many people do this far too often to these people in real life situations.
I'm hoping you helped and didn't just take their picture if this is genuine.

Admittedly I didn't have a macro lens or filters at the time, seeing the other entries I realize how necessary that was to have something. Still, first challenge and not absolute last, I'll accept that and get better from here on out.
