Killing seals

This made me shoot cola out of my nose on my lunch break which was about as unique an experience as seeing "killing seals" as the title of an image on DPC. Kudos sir, i salute you.

I have to say that this isn't as much a fantasy sport as many people would like it to be, and i am on the fence about that. I'm not sure if you're trying to shed light on the topic, or just have a twisted sense of humor, but either way you're getting a 7 from my cola-injected-nose.

i love the fantasy and originality in this. the kids look like they had a lot of fun shooting this, and i'm sure they love the finished product even more!
the colors are vibrant and engaging, the sugar-land looks real enough to eat (and hopefully it was enjoyed after shooting!) and the light in all areas is equally applied (from the screen-right, with the left being darker).
Fantastic job on this and I hope you are as satisfied with it as I am seeing it!

i see a man holding a bike, but he is not riding it...
the highlights in the background are blown and the foreground is a bit dark.

Underwater Hurdling

this is one of my favorites from the challenge.
the biggest problem is the legs look distorted - his right leg appears to be his left leg when you're focused on the upper body, which in turn makes the left leg on bottom look like a mutant side-leg if you're thought process says there's no right leg.
i'm not a hurdler myself, so this could well be proper form, but to me the bottom half looks to be rotated about 30-40 degrees from the body abnormally.
post processing is spot on with the watery reflections, the fish are great and the bubbles off the find and hands add a nice touch of realism.

i'm hoping that the 42 refers to "how many roads must a man walk down?" - and if you get the reference i hope it made you smile :)
