The lighting is maybe too much on the side for my taste and the focus seems to be on the background. other than that the idea is great

I smell the garlic in that shot, incredible macro, good lighting. Maybe a little more depth of field would have helped but it's a beauty anyway

The photo is outstanding, the idea etc. For the lighting problem, I have the same camera you have and i get that kind of bright color when i boost the saturation in the menu (wich i stopped doing) and maybe with a larger aperture (f4 or f5.6) and a longer exposure time would have given you both the lighting and the Depth of field you looked for.
