Bedtime Storiesby sherComment: I read a book once that mentioned that if you want to portray the idea that a person likes crossword puzzles (as an example), a more abstract picture of glasses, a pencil, and a crossword puzzle depicts that far better than a portrait of the person doing a crossword puzzle. That's a random aside. This image reminds me a lot of that article; the portrait I see is of a parent or grandparent who loves to read to a child. I like this picture a lot. It's very poignant, and the composition is well done. |

3 rosesby JC_HomolaComment: This is a nice shot. I'm not really a fan of the yellow border, but I like the way the bottom rose overhangs it. |

In Aweby jenesisComment: I like the concept of this picture, but the water seems lost in the background a bit. |

ICE³by tomlewis1980Comment: The blue tint of this shot makes it look like an exotic winter wonderland. I like that whatever the ice cube is sitting on is blurred and softened beyond recognition -- it adds to the mystique. Nice shot. |

Drip Dropby YellowpeepComment: I think it was a good decision to use black and white with the metal background. Beautiful picture -- tack-sharp. Nice job! |

We Come in Peace.by BobsterLobsterComment: I really like this idea. I love the big, looming shadow behind the action figure. I love that he "comes in peace" but carries a huge gun. I don't love that his label is stuck above his head. I think the irony of the photo (and the action figure) is made clear by the label, but I'd rather see it in a less obtrusive place. |
