I'm not really sure what it is I'm looking at. The swooping bird is pretty interesting, and it seems to be of a different species than the one standing on the branch, but because they're silhouetted, I just don't know. |

It's the journey, not the destination.by instepsComment: photo: 5

I'm not finding myself terribly captivated by this image, I think due to subject matter, and the "from above" perspective isn't really dramatic enough of a shift to bring me into the scene. The black and white helps, but I think what I really want is to see the face of the person leading the boat, and maybe a slower speed to show the motion (I know, it'd be killed here by the other voters, but it would be more 'true' to the title). |

An interesting shot. I don't typically like centered shots, but this is working, especially with the background being so isolated and drab. I think with the title, I would have liked to have seen a person in the shot, or even more focus on the land (as opposed to the rock formation). |

The photo is interesting, and could have had a much larger impact with a better title. As it is now, the title doesn't make much sense. The golden hue of the brush is nice, and is really interesting to me. |

The exposure of this is nice, and it feels sharp. There are quite a few distracting poles/plant life that don't really add anything to the meaning. The story feels a bit default, wish it would have felt more personal, or made a grander statement about life. |

Destination? I'll know when I arrive.by cmittleComment: photo: 5

I like the idea, but think it could have had a bit better of an execution. The focus is great, exposure isn't bad - the darks are a bit dark on my monitor, but I'll chalk that up to my monitor being cheap. I like the "off the beaten path" but wish there wasn't so much haziness over the valley. The bike feels so isolated, I almost wish there was something a bit more interesting about the landscape. |

great expression, and stopped motion. great exposure considering the lighting difficulty. love the story, and the abstract interpretation. |

I like the feeling that this was captured right before the 'pop.' I might have had more impact if the extra balloons weren't in the frame, and maybe in black and white. Crop feels like there's a lot of loose room on the left side. |

This would have made an extremely wonderful shot had it been just a bit more low-key, in gray scale. I like the message and the framing, the shadows are nice. Not sure about the sunglasses, but I like the boots and the soccer ball. |

like the motion effect created by the slow shutter. I think a tighter crop up top might make the photo better. Wish the story was more illustrative of the scene. " stuck in traffic again- hold lunch!" |
