Thanks for the comments. I agree with the vote and wasn\'t happy with my entry - I seem to struggle with taking photos to a theme with little notice but I\'m working on it! As for the clarity and focus - the photo was taken with reverse-lens macro so the depth of field is about 1mm! With some subjects it works or you can get away with it (I'm not allowed to post a link to examples but my blog on blogger is amoodaday and click the 'reverse lens' field), with others it doesn't.

The colours/hues work with the slightly grainy background, and I love the water droplets in the background, they look like eye. I can't help but thinking *something* is missing compositionally, but I can't put my finger on what
