Love the lighting on the dunes. Really beautiful. Also love the mountains and the low clouds. Almost wondering if cropping out the blue sky would work, too...? Nice job.

Cute title! I like the sepia/pink tone. Excellent focus which is hard to do with these critters. I like the crop and comp. a lot. His stance is humorous. Well shot.

I'm not a snake lover by any means but this is a great shot. Nice colors, simple background, and good focus. Looks like his head and some edges of the branch suffer from oversharpening. It's not too noticeable but there appears to be bright white specks/pixels. I'm guessing the ISO was higher than normal and it's "sharpened noise" that I'm seeing. Maybe a little less USM would prevent that. Nice job.

Neuferland?

Very pretty. I'm obsessed with veiling water. I like that you caught the stream, the fall, and the bridge. A circular polarizer would have cut down on the glare in the water and would have made the colors deeper.

Sorry I'm a bit late with my reply. Thank you all so much for the great, honest, and helpful comments. Many of you said you felt that the light was too centered. You are absolutely right. I didn't notice it at the time because I was thinking of the light and the house/building as a unit and therefore it's not centered. After reading your comments I see how centered it is every time I view it! lol I've tried a new crop where neither is centered and it looks very nice. Thank you for pointing that out.

Thanks again for making my first entry so much fun!

Unique! Great distortion on the sky line. I'm wondering how a tighter crop would look. Great eye.

Hard to see that this is a puddle because of being so close up and the angle. Really great idea. Nice reflection.

Cool! Very eery shot. I like how the hilltops appear as islands in the fog. The factory and smoke stack add an interesting element.
