Nice job with the dof and the clear bg. I like the idea of us seeing the cable release but sort of wish the wire didn't cross in front of your face....but I wouldn't want you to lose any fingers either. :-) Maybe if you had moved everything up just a bit. Great shot.

I think you've got a terrific shot here. It looks like the front feathers ('chest' area) are a wee bit sharper than it's head/beak/eye, but it doesn't take away from the image at all. The bokeh/dof is really great. I love all the different colors. It really makes the bird stand out. Nice comp. and I like the square crop as well. Great job.
