fawnby KrazyKatComment: Very nice image, good saturation and one of my favorites. Grayce...aka...gracious |

Grand Beginnings!by shedevilComment: Nice still life, interesting curves on the dummy hand. A black background would make the ring stand out better, rather than the hand stand out, since it is presumably the ring that is new. I still like it. |

The birth of.....by psychephylaxComment: YES! This represents a lot to me. New LIFE above all. I love the idea here. Now on to the criticism....what is the chain all about? I can't really make out the (cross?) Knowing the subject of the NT I'd guess it's a cross but that should be clearer. I have no idea at all what that other thing on the NT is. Plastic carrots?? Oh wait...hubby came in and said they are candles...probably. LOL...Whatever it is, it adds no virtue to this picture and should have been removed. I do like the lighting of your image. My suggestions would be: 1-remove the candles, and 2-put the cross in a position where it can be clearly recognized, so it will strongly support the concept. |

Shining Black Carby jerryComment: Good subject! I would like to have seen the edge NOT cut off though (on the right) so I'd see the curves and shapliness of the car. Just a thought. You captured some nice color in the reflection. |

New Growthby waltomlComment: I like your idea here...thought about it myself. The tree trunk behind it distracts from the main subject though. A different position would give you a different perspective. Good color contrasts. |

Web Designerby HendrikComment: Captured the web beautifully, but the spider is blurred. Composition is good. Meets challenge? Vaguely. |

New homeby 4davidComment: A new home is an exciting time! I think that you may have found some other way of showing the newness of it, other than a window. Generally a window doesn't really represent that "Newness" to me. But that's what makes us all different. I look forward to seeing your comments about this in the end. It did make me look closer and seek meaning and that is a good thing. I also like the way the curtains stand out, being so saturated with color in a mostly unsaturated setting. Good eye! |

New Life, New Father, New Loveby SonifoComment: I love it...one of my few 10's....After reviewing all the submissions I've concluded that this is my favorite. Even in the silhouette it is evident that this Daddy is smiling at his new child. The choice of silhouette is perfect, and this is a very strong image. The coloring is fantastic too. My # 1 choice...I hope you win. Grayce...aka...gracious |

A new lifeby dexter2Comment: Sweet little 'roo! I like this, but would like to see less shadow in the foreground. Probably out of your control when shooting it, but perhaps cropping afterwards. I still like it though. Just some ideas. |
