You're right of course! Some may penalize you for being so.........um.......primitive. Not me. I like the idea. In a book of technology sticks and stones should be included. About this photo, the lighting is a little harsh and makes it look sort of flat, no shadows and highlights. Side lighting, either earlier or later in the day, when the sun is low in the sky would attain the shadows to give it depth, and the colors would be a little more saturated. There are some russets, and greens, and browns and greys in here. Less light would bring them out.
Good luck in the challenge. Grayce :-)

Wow...sure has lots of moving parts to maintain. I do wonder what it performs or accomplishes.
Your image is good, and interesting. It also meets the challenge nicely. Good luck in the challenge! 7 Grayce

Quite interesting! High tech yet pretty. I like the pastel colors, and the lighting is really nice. I hope to find out more about this image. What are the disks on? I'm puzzled but really impressed! :-) Nice, nice work. Anyway, best of luck in the challenge. Grayce 9

lol....so true! Good idea to incorporate the cat. Composition is good but actually I'd like to see more cat. I'm sure others would disagree, therefore it really is only a matter of taste. The lighting is good. 6 Anyway, best of luck in the challenge. Grayce

Focus is good on this, but there is just a little something lacking....maybe it's because I look at this every single day, I have a hard time seeing the artistic merit. Just me prolly. Technically the picture is fine. Anyway good luck in the challenge. 6 Grayce
