Hanging On by welcherComment: I love it. When I lived up north (for most of my life) I loved photographing ice-encased flora. You did a good job of exposing to get detail, and none of it is blown out. The colors are superb, with only the reds evident, in an otherwise nearly monotone composition.
Dof is very good, isolating the foreground subject from the bg. The bg shows just enough detail to give a sense of environment.
The only thing I'd like to see differently is to eliminate the twig on the left. Maybe...but maybe not. ;-0 |

Lemon DROPSby justineComment: Generally I'd prefer more dof to include the other lemon. The highlights on the front lemon are harsh making them blown out and the dark spots on the lemon aren't appealing. I do like the color saturation, and the water droplets on the surface of the plate. The composition is very nice too. |

light's ebbby aelithComment: It's dark and I expect it won't be wildly popular, but I like it as a very moody image. |

Abstract Martiniby AleciaComment: Nice, interesting abstract. Coloring combines warm and cool tones creating a juxtaposition of sorts. The composition is excellent. Good work! |

House Finchby SwashbucklerComment: Nice composition, but there isn't enough detail in the eyes and feathers to make it an outstanding image of a finch. Colors are real good. The bg works very well. If it was just a bit lighter more detail would be visible...I think. |

Face-to-Face In the Snowby magnetic9999Comment: Cute little fatling! Good color capture here. Although the color is minimal, the pink of his nose and mouth are evident, as well as the golden browns of his ears and face. The tree being out of focus bothers me a bit. I want to see the detail in the bark, but I understand how quickly you must have had to capture this moment.
His tail is quite interesting. I've never seen one like it in all the many squirrels i've seen.
I love that I can see his feet and toes. You really captured a lot of his detail. Good job! |
