Oops...by mrchhasComment: Thanks to everybody for the constructive comments!!! This is the first challenge that i've entered that i actually set up the shot and thought about it before hand, and i have to admit it was a lot of fun... even if this was a bit rushed. Some of my friends also had suggested that the cone be more colorful, or a different flavor, but i wanted the eye to be drawn immediately to the model's face, and follow her eyes down to the falling cone.... which in reality could have been caught with a higher shutter speed. The peeps from the gelato store were already ticked that i bought a cone just to drop on the ground so i didn't want to risk a reshoot! :-D
Anyway, the idea came because i think, as jmritz noted, the saddest thing i can think of is a brand new ice cream cone falling on the ground. Unless you're eddie murphy, obviously! |
