Handsome character, definitely a worthy subject, but maybe not for this challenge; doesn't give sense of natural environment; you might want to experiment with more dynamic lighting - angles, brightness, etc.

Funny idea and nice color and blurring of the background. Lighting is a bit harsh on right side of pile and could be sharper around the edges of pile.
