Piano Havenby saintaugustComment: This is a very interesting shot. I love the use of negative space to highlight the pianist. If it's possible to complete the stage circle without introducing other elements, I think it would add more balance to the photo though.
Nice find. |

moon & treeby arnarComment: The red lights in the background suggest that the camera was moved while taking this photograph. Consider using a tripod. |

A bottle in the wall ...by empauloComment: The concept is very nice and it definately meets the challenge, however, this photo could be much better if taken on a different day and at a different time. The hazy sky and the streak of sunlight through the 'bottle' are the only things that detract from it. |

Framedby faidoiComment: Very nicely done and good use of backlighting. I especially like the symmetry of the frame. The only distraction is the pixel on the upper left part of the right column but I commend you on sticking to the rules. |

Smith Memorialby maxbutenComment: Granted the rule of thumb is that photographing statues from below makes them look more magnificent, but this over does it a bit too much. ;) A different angle could have strenghtened this photo. I suspect the choice was a result of needing the frame. |

Balanced to perfectionby geewhyComment: This must be the work of geewhy. That lift never ceases to amaze me. I like this view of it and the vibrance of the colors is excellent. |

Life in the Balanceby MWittComment: Spectacular composition. That cat certainly adds a lot to the overall 'balance' of the photo. |

One on Oneby tyt2000Comment: Wow, at first I thought this was a water drop shot. Nice choice in using clear thumbtacks. I love the way the light shines through them to creat concentric circles. Excellent composition and topic. |

Washington Monument at Duskby kirbicComment: One of the few submissions where the subject is not centered for the sake of being centered, but actually strenghtened by being centered. Very nice use of symetry and the colors of the sky are amazing. If only the reflecting pool was mirror flat, a chrisp monument below would have made a spectacular photo. Ahhh, the good old "if only..." Well done and good luck. |
