A bugs lifeby strechrtComment: I think I see where you were going with this shot, but my read is: this makes me think of the ants' point of view, but I am still seeing them from my usual point of view. Also I think this particular shot would have benefited from a larger dof and different lighting. |

Glass Half Full!by LostMindComment: Aside from the sunset/rise, this seems like a very common point of view versus the unique one called for for this challenge. The location of the sun in the shot I don't helps any. I would have liked it better if it was somewhere on the top edge of the glass, or just up in the sky away from the hand and glass. |

My daugtherby marvinComment: The point of view does not resonate at unique to me at all. The washed out highlights don't help with the pov aspect, though otherwise they don't bother me in this case. You did brilliantly capture her eyes, though, and that's my favorite. The hat is great too. |

to all the girls i loved to muchby cutoutComment: I don't get it and to my eyes the shot is not well executed. Being in better focus would help. I don't understand your subject though, and the title doesn't help. Are you doing an homage to something perhaps? |

Broke Bankby DiscoVaderComment: So, as I collect another brown with this one, I get that my post processing made sure the shot did not score well. As I explained when asked to verify the validity of the shot (I'm not sure why the request was made not that I mind), I was aiming for capturing perhaps something too specific and obscure. The "bank" or "at least least partially bank owned building" in the shot has obviously seen some wear and tear. I was thinking that someone financially burdened with this place grabbed their old plastic film camera using expired film, took the shot, and had it processed with the wrong chemicals. Or something like that. Anyhow, now that I feel I know how to score a brown, I will start working on a personal best as well, just to broaden the portfolio. Thank you very much to my commenters! Oh, and that's not a fingerprint but just some chickenwire-like fencing stuff -- it extends to the two brown posts to the left. |
