Blackbird On Blueby HipychikComment: I love the monochrome, and the shade of blue is so perfect: it looks like skies I remember from my childhood. Also a rare case where I really like the border. The thin black line echoes the thickness of the twigs while the extended blue just feels like more sky. |

Fish Eye Viewby NordlysComment: I loved this at first. The alignment is fantastic. Then, after reading the title I looked more carefully and not I can't fight the sensation that I am looking straight up at a dive bomber -- and I swear I can feel that bird falling out of the sky right at me. Love it. |

chased the shouting wind along by vawendyComment: Ah, beautiful wing position. I love that the subject is looking to its side towards the photographer. "What's that? You're taking my picture? Of course you are! I'm gorgeous!" |

Descentby jmsetzlerComment: I don't recall ever seeing a photo so clearly showing a duck lowering and fanning out its tail and adding its feet to prep for landing on water, though I recognize it and have seen it many times. Head position also lends some nice personality. I feel I can relate to this duck. |

Falconby PaulComment: Looks like a Nat Geo cover to me. The pose, the action, the bokeh, the beautiful detail on the subject. I love it. |

wuthering heightsby skewsmeComment: It looks like a painting. There is a strong suggestion of motion, maybe just because of the focus and subject (versus motion blur). Starting above the bird, wrapping around to the left, then down across to the right in a c shape (or nautilus), there is almost a frame of extra blur that comes across to me as focus based vignetting. I am annoyed at how much I like this one. Awesome. |

The Child from Ilawodby LandzEncaComment: Awesome. My second favorite of the challenge. I love the expression of wonder on the subject's face. Compelling. |
