Great caption, but I might have liked it better without the lights spread out on the floor.

Very well accomplished, I'm curious how you managed to to this. If it's done with strings, it's quite an impressing work!

Great motive, the colours of the kite are in contrast to the dark sky . I believe a longer leash on the kite would have made it even better though.

Thank you for all the comments and for voting. I'm quite satisfied with the result, considering that I started taking pictures with a SLR two weeks ago.

I had been taking pictures of buildings and other stuff at night, and was on my way home when I came across this statue. I felt straight away that it was a perfect subject, considering the posture and the Christmas light in the back.

While fixing my camera to a tripod, I set the shutter speed to 4 seconds. It was a bit difficult the get the timing right, but the effect was achieved by zooming in during exposure. It could have been a bit better, but it was also a bit difficult to get the lights in the back to be perfectly aligned.

I believe I'm in a fast track to learning SLR, but I would really appreciate some tips on how I could have done this better.

Good idea, but in my opinion the Santa looks a bit angry. I would have liked the picture to look more joyful.

This is a pretty good capture, nice facial expressions. I also like the colors, but believe the picture could have been a bit sharper.
