I think that she needed to be closer to the candle I don't mind the darkness but her face needs to be more the focal point instead of the candle and right now it is very secondary. The weird catch lights in her eyes take away from the mood you are trying to create. I like the reflection much more than I like the main part of the photo. I think in this case it would have been better to have her looking in a different direction, right now her look is leading me away and out of the photo. I think looking more to the side like the reflection or right at camera would have been better. I think this photo is a good idea but is suffering a bit from minimal editing. I think most problems could have been fixed in advanced.

I think you ought to be doing really well with this one but my ability to predict anything seems to be off these days. I think you will hit well with many types of audiences (just quirky enough to get the people who don't like plain old studio shots and not so quirky as to turn of the rest) I think the lighting the pose and the look are pretty well spot on. The only thing that slightly bothers me and I don't even know if it bothers me that much or if I am just nit picking is the light spot on her hair, I can't decide if it adds or detracts from the overall feel of the image.

Excellent use of b&w. I think this photo would not even work at all without it. Something as busy as this needs the black and white to ground it.
