I really like this abstraction of green. I hope this places at or near the top, but I'd guess that this won't because of the style, and because it seems a little of a stretch to squarely fit within the challenge theme. Great details and fractal-like pattern. I'll give you /my/ top score for the week, at least.

I really like how I can't tell immediately from what angle I'm looking at this scene. It's got a lot of "confusing" imagery, I think, but it's interesting.

hehe, I just like the eyes of that cat, like it knows the water's coming. Good angle, too.

With this technique, the color transition and haze just draws me into the image the longer I look at it.

So plain, but very effective. If you didn't title the photo what you did, I still would've understood the sense of mixed feelings here. The photo works best when the viewer's in a certain mood. This probably won't place near the top, because it won't impress everyone - but you definitely have impressed some of us.

Great angle. Maybe a little less plain background might suit the unusual pose better? Still looks great, though.

I like the color scheme and textures, although I don't really get it... it's kind of just a coincidence instead of serendipity.

This has a peaceful, more indirect, and more definite sense of serendipity than the other photos here. It works very well. Thanks for not putting a paragraph into your title to explain it! It takes a little longer to sense it, but it makes you appreciate the photo tons more.

This had better win - it easily is the best photo that conveys some strong semblance of "serendipity" without explaining itself in the title. And it looks great, too - technically, and in terms of composition. Hilarious face. Top score for the week.

Great photo - a more subtle sense of serendipity, although it does rely on your title a bit. It's still top-notch composition and should score high.
