Have Earth, Water, Air, all I need is, oh yeahby jmritzComment: Not sure this really matches the theme, though the title did make me grin. The blurry thing in the foreground (trash can, maybe?) is pretty distracting, and the bright spot in the snow (lens flare?) could also go. I think the focus is a little off, and, personally, I prefer an image like this to be higher contrast.
On the other hand, I like the scene and the line of the fence. I like that you can see the bridge in the background. Maybe one step to the right to get the bridge framed by the tree branches a bit better. |

Fire-y coloured flag dancing in the windby jsunshineComment: Not a bad idea, but there are several elements here that could work better. First, the composition feels quite crowded, especially with the top of the stick cut off. Since you've placed the flag and stick so close, they dominate the image, but instead of feeling big or important, it just feels close. Try taking a lower angle, so that the flag feels more imposing (and also so it doesn't intersect the horizon).
Also, the exposure is kind of flat. I would have taken it up maybe a third to two-thirds of a stop and then adjusted the contrast in post. Alternatively (or maybe additionally) you can try shooting later (or much earlier) in the day to get the really great lighting.
Finally, the horizon isn't level. It's a minor thing, but it makes a difference. |

A History of Violenceby hahn23Comment: Great interpretation of the theme. The steam rising off the snow looking like smoke is just amazing. |

Haji Ali Dargahby vvk4uComment: Not bad, but I think you might do a little better to place the causeway (or whatever it is) lower in the frame. Also, the horizon is a little skewed. |

The Fundamentals of Lifeby LyraComment: The main thing for me here is that the flame is being repeated in all of the other glasses. That might be intentional, but it doesn't work well for me. I'm also not sure about the choice of a completely black background, especially since it looks like you may have simply cut out the background in post. |

Moon Wobbleby 2mccsComment: This might be a really good image, but it's going over my head. Conceptual/abstract stuff done with extreme soft focus always does that for me. |

Convergenceby odriewComment: Not sure I understand the title. Is this an HDR image? The sky is interesting, but also kind of unsettling. Compositionally, I think you'd do better to move the house out of the center of the frame. The reflections are nice, though. |

Everglade Morningby drydocComment: Lovely minimalist landscape. The only issue for me is that the horizon looks a little skewed to me. |

Elemental Sunsetby Bear_MusicComment: This is an HDR shot, yes? I'm always a little ambivalent about HDR. It always feels gimmicky to me, but then you can get such wonderful colors and textures out of it, too. Anyway, the colors are spectacular, but I feel like all the trees and scrub in the foreground is distracting. |
