The Horse Whispererby snafflesComment: This really fits the title. good job. To bring up the score more the photographer might want to adjust the curves so there are some more true blacks. It has an overall washed out look to it. |

"Summer Rental" (1985 w/John Candy)by MelethiaComment: I didn't see the movie but am familiar with John Candy. I imagine it was a comedy? If that is the case, color, bright beautiful crazy color, would help set the mood better. B/W is so serious.
Otherwise, this is a nice picture with good composition. |

"Heeere's Johnny! " - The Shiningby AlexSaberiComment: The model has just the right amount of teeth showing and the highlights in his eyes are convincing. This is a tough scene to score on because it seems to have been picked by a few photographers. |

Gods and Generalsby FalcComment: I like the centered composition with him standing away from the troops and in the spotlight. But then again I imagine how it would look if he was more to the left of the frame with his profile contrasted against the troops. The picture has the correct exposue and perfect dof.
I find myself looking at the garbage on the ground and the one guy's belly sticking out of his jacket and the manicured lawn. These things tend to take away from the fantasy of the picture. I know they could not be controled by the photographer. |

my momma always said...by taseComment: That's the name? didn't see it. This is nicely exposed however. It doesn't tell me a story, but it might be better received by someone who has seen the movie. gl |

His usual tricks (Amelie)by superscrub99Comment: didn't see the movie. I like the absurd contrast between the gnome and the surfer. I don't think that will be enough to bring the overall score into the higher regions. |

First bloodby jeeptuningComment: Good job on the makeup and setting the scene. Bring down the higlights and upper mid-tones. His face is exposed well. A closer crop, excluding the far bank would have increased the drama. |

nasty habitsby messerschmittComment: I love the duality of this. point/counterpoint. perfect composition with the thumb squeezing the neck. |

death becomes herby whiteroomComment: She's to stubborn(tenaciously unwilling or marked by tenacious unwillingness to yield) to die. That stright ahead I'm-not-going-to-notice-you look gives her away. But the curled toes make me want to forgive her for being so unyielding. Is there a less enhanced version of this? |
