The photo was supposed to be fear not lack of fear. Anyways... I think you should have moved the camera to the left a bit and gotten rid of some of that black space. Place your subject on one of the third lines. Your focus also seems to be off a bit, or maybe its just a grainy image.

That's weird. Its too dark, whether its the subject or the photographer I don't know, cause I have no idea what it is. This might have been cooler crapped tightly around the circle, and maybe even cutting bits of it off and then increasing the brightness. I can't exactly tell what is transparent because, again, I have no idea what I'm looking at.
