Footprints on Perfection by posthumousComment: What are you doing way up here?!
Perfection is right. Sand and water dance together astonishingly well! As do dogs, of course!

Golden mosaicsby LevTComment: I didn't notice gold vs. orange in this one.
However, when I saw this it immediately reminded me of a scene from the book "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell" by Suzanna Clarke where Norrell compels all of the figures in a church to be magic'ed into animation, and they all spend the morning wandering around the church and telling anybody who'll listen of what has happened over the last few centuries to anybody watching. This could be the church that I had in my minds eye (though perhaps a little more gothic). |

Thanks :-) I went through a journey that led me to appreciate this style that started by asking "what was the photographer trying to evoke with the editing choices?", and eventually I asked this question so much that it became a core element of my style. This isn't to say there's any great depth in my images by any means, but usually I have something that I want to communicate indirectly. Here, for example, the subject is reading a book and the focus and texture is meant to contrast the background noise to his complete focus on the novel. Usually, lighting, focus and textures are used in various combinations for some kind of purpose.
Anyway, I have a special appreciation of voters' evolving perception of style, and encourage you down the route whatever the outcome may be! Message edited by author 2022-12-26 08:14:59. |
