Nice bird shot, but unless the bird's name is Conflict, you are soooo off topic.

That's sort of funny, until it happens. I almost lost a good buddy of mine on a climbing fall where the rope almost broke like that. The outter shroud got ripped and the inner rope puffed like that, but not so bad. Scared the crap out of both of us.

Ok composition, but too much light in upper left and not enough at lower right. White part of rope is overexposed

I can see that he did the same job to that small carpet in the background. Crazy beagles! Gotta love 'em.

That bright spot is way overexposed. Too bad since it could have been quite a nice shot.

Well, I just want to thank everyone for voting on my image and a very special thanks to those who took the time to comment.

I have just attained two other photographic goals for 2004: i) to win a ribbon and ii) to have one of my shots show up on the page describing my camera (on contest end, this shot is now the 9th highest rated for the S602z). I never would have thought that my ribbon would be blue and that I'd be getting it so early in the year.

I kind of lucked out with this one since I was on days-off from work when the contest was announced. I'm very glad I took the time to take this shot.

You're looking at a very happy Canadian!

This shot could have benefited from being sent through NeatImage. Also, the contrast seems to have been pushed a tad too much. I would have prefrerred seeing less dried grass in the foreground. Awesome cloudscape.
