Loves me notby robsmithComment: Neat idea, good execution. My only wish would be that the entire petal were in focus. Still, one of my favorites so far. |

Alone in a Foreign Crowdby CraigDComment: Looks like a little too much sharpening. I like the play between the blue book and the blue lettering on the yellow. Nicely done! |

Wall Flowerby EnzoComment: I love the grain and the texture of the wood. High sun pays off for once! Was the branch naturally poking through the fence or was it staged? Either way, nice work. |

Alone on the playgroundsby vadviragComment: I like the subject and framing. Not so sure about the desaturation, though. It distracts me from paying attention to the child. |

A walk in the park ...by brianlrComment: I searched and searched for the "alone" in this shot. I just can't see it. Sorry! (Other than that, I like to colors and framing with the branch across the top.) |

Fun With Plasmaby tungstenComment: Originally posted by Dave Gordon: Are the colors this brilliant to the naked eye, or do they depend on a photgraphic medium to bring them out? |
They are this brilliant in a darkened room, though definitely not as soft and fuzzy. See the 2nd place entry by bod for a fantastic of what these plasma balls look like in real time. Message edited by author 2003-10-22 11:22:02. |

Acid + Alkaline = CO2 + Yucky stuff!by DebN2003Comment: Close :) First you get carbonic acid, which immediately decomposes to CO2 and water. The nasty stuff you're left with is sodium acetate. And that's your chemistry lesson for the day. Nice pic! |
