Lines of Force by PetRockComment: I wondered how many really realized what my concept was here. If your eyes followed the empty columns, then deemed the photo boring, you missed the point. If however your eyes moved between the doubled rooks, or looked to see where the bishops covered, then I was successful in leading your eyes through the image as I intended, even though the lines of force were invisible. I assume no one dwelled on the kings or pawn, they did not lead your eyes anywhere!
Well, as my wife is quick to remind m, if you have to explain your image, then you didn't do a very good job! |
