Bee's paradise?by larushkaComment: I struggle with taking photos of birds of paradise. You did this very well: I love the pastel, washed-out colors from the sunlight and your DOF, which made the flower essentially out of focus. I think this image could have been composed a little better to see the bee more, but it still quite works well. |

Siobhan Cassellsby JamesAComment: I like the composition of this image. It forces my eyes to the clothes, which have good textures and patterns. I wish the aperture were a bit small to get more detail in the clothes, but overall this photo works very well as a fashion photo. |

Cosmeticby StarbananaComment: I like that the model isn't airbrushed. This is a solid photo and I do feel as if I'm being sold make up, particularly eye make up (the lipstick is a little distracting). I love the focus on her eye and how clear, ice-blue it is; I almost wish you'd used a smaller aperture so that her other eye were more in focus, but that's neither here nor there. |

How to wear a white tie by nico_blueComment: I love this photo. It has wonderful movement and is well-composed. Two critiques: there is not enough light on the model's face (it just needs a little more) and the tie is not very distinct from the shirt, which is a problem if that is the 'product' of this image. |

Cherubby DrAchooComment: Good shot for the theme. The white background is a bit startling, though, and washes out her face a little. |

Bodhiby tmhallingComment: Well-lit and great colors, but the depth of field is too short. |

Edge of the Worldby KarenNfldComment: Love the small aperture and how crisp this is. Lots of interesting textures that don't clash, though the bit of seagrass in the immediate foreground seems a little too bright: tamping it down some would make the house pop even more. |

A lookerby svavaComment: She connects well with the camera. Her feet look strange: I love that she's holding her shoes, but it would have been better if she not taken such a wide stance and if she had been on her tip-toes to give her some more tension in her body. Great lighting and really good full-length shot. |

The Ingénueby njsabsComment: This is great from about hips up. I love her face and the arch of her back. The dress is gorgeous as is her hair/makeup. I love the lighting. The problem with the image is the position of her legs and how that makes the dress pull around her knees. It also seems to detract from her overall presence in the image, which from the hips up is very stark. To me this image is about the dress and her face, but the shoes/legs distract me. If she were turned just slightly more toward the camera, this would be really great: she'd also fill up more of the image on the left, which would strengthen the image as well. |

Alexby dsa157Comment: The model is well-styled and well-positioned aside from her right-arm (if she'd grabbed the edge of the truck that would have brought a lot more interesting tension); the image is composed well, too. That said, the environment is distracting. She either needs to pop more (with post-editing) or you should have at least removed the cones from the shot. |
