Lovely, with a title that adds an additional dimension to the scene.

An unusually successful color inversion or infrared technique, it seems. Whatever the method, this image brings a new dimension to the scene. and the DOF provided by the venerable f/8 works to bring it together. Bravo!

As a member of DPL's Team Underground, the bling I bestowed during the recent DPL had point value for the highly prized Underward. Now that DPL is over, my bling is "pointless" - as it should be, and has been re-imagined as such. Congratulations, you are among the first recipients of the POLM award. Fabulous! With darkness at its core - it's all about the edges, And perfectly well-suited to f/8, too.

I'm usually disdainful of IR photos. Most often I find them to be gimmicky and seldom see added interest/value as a result of the technique. This is different. This is stunning. If I'd been here in time to award my humble bling before rollover, I'd have left you one of these...;.

Thanks for the link... interesting read. For me the pose is very natural. It's not posed, but I can easily see this as a natural candid moment.

Nicely composed ultra-wide shot. I'm distracted by the power of the highlights behind the tree - my eye ends up there instead of the in the bottom third of the frame.

Can't say I've ever mixed these two flavors. But they do make a photogenic pair.
