Okay, maybe being a cat person is skewing my judgement, but this is my favorite for this theme. Love the evil look and the menacing claw. Doesn't hurt that it's so well done technically, either. Kudos.

Wow. It's the first one that's stopped me in this challenge. I like so much about it, but mostly, I like the congruence with the theme and the serenity of the moment. And... it evokes the senses. I hear the water lapping at the shore and feel the moisture in the air.

What exquisite lighting! This is a terrific example of how little light against black can make such a powerful and distinct impression. Hope it does well (and expect, from my limited experience here, that it will).

This combines a wonderful color palette with spot on sharpness and subtle composition to create an attention grabbing image of a simple subject. I'll be back after the voting to see the photo data on this. Hope (and expect) it to do really well!

A unique vision. I haven't seen anything quite like it. You've made something mysterious and ethereal out of what could have been a pretty pedestrian image. Hope it does well.
