Couldn't Drag Me Away by wbanningComment: Well, this has been an amazing week for me. Two blues in a row. Two PB's in a row (both over seven). I'm now officially ready for a string of sub-six entries.
Thank you to all who voted and commented. I'm really pleased with the outcome.
Although I believe I've been improving as a photographer since registering here in 2010, the majestic subject matter of these wonderful animals (and some really nice glass) makes this accomplishment easier than hunting down the perfect challenge content. It was a glorious morning at the Return to Freedom Wild Horse Sanctuary in Lompoc, California. An experience I'll never forget. Anyone traveling to Santa Barbara County (2 hours north of Los Angeles) needs to be sure this place in on their "must see" list. Message edited by author 2014-08-08 02:04:43. |

When the Lake sleepsby the_rkpComment: Although I don't always respond well to this level of stylized color effect, this is really lovely and evocative. Calming. Nice. |

Romanceby rooumComment: There's a lot going on in this tableau... and the subjects are SO small. Yet I find my eyes moving smoothly through the frame and landing right where you want them. Fascinating. |

Eyes of a Childby Ja-9Comment: An unusual cropping/framing choice. I keep coming back to this, but can't say I love it. |
