A Peculiar Morning Indeed !by ColeyComment: I loved this shot and gave it a 10. I love it even more now finding out that there was symbolism behind the bizarreness. Great job, I was hoping this would ribbon. So close! |

Anyaby albc28Comment: Really nice portrait, love the lighting. I kind of feel like that lamp really doesn't fit into the picture though, its such a mundane object, it kind of brings the otherwise classy portrait down. |

doneby bspurgeonComment: I very much love the editing here, the general tones, the textures etc. But I think it might have been composed more thoughtfully to make it stronger. The cement on the left and front of the car on the right stick out to me as examples of this. I do like this shot though 6 |

If Onlyby vickioComment: Wow this is fantastic. So emotive and powerful.
I don't know if the general dpc audience will like this a lot too, but it certainly resonates with me.
The depth of focus is just perfect here, any more would have been too much. |

Helping Handby KelliComment: This is a little underexposed for me and could also use some more contrast. I think working with the lighting would have provided you with a much stronger shot. Very cute though, the arm reaching behind her head is a nice touch. |

A Peculiar Morning Indeed !by ColeyComment: This is awesome. I just love this and it is my top pick for this challenge. This is just 100% perfectly executed.
The toast coming out of the oven is the best touch. 10 |

Penitentby banmornComment: Great shot! I had an idea like this but never would have achieved it as well as you. This is very dramatic and well done.
I think a vertical shot that cut out the christmas trees would have been even more dramatic.
Awesome shot, I hope it does well for you. 7 |

Never Look Backby bcrantsComment: Nice portrait that meets the challenge well, with some really nice lightening.
I think this would have done better if there was an answer to "Why is there a girl sitting in the middle of the road?". This way it appears fairly random...like "we have a road, we have a girl, lets do this". If you had provided a story for it (by placing some other object in the photo, or whatever) I think you would have resonated with the audience more strongly and it would have scored higher for me. Technically it is very sound. 6 |

Jiveby abuscemiComment: Seriously sick shot! I love this.
It kind of stretches the boundary of what I would consider a portrait, but I am giving you the benefit of the doubt just because I love the feel of this image. The movement captured here is just awesome. 7 |

Reflecting on Christmasby sammy_stecchinoComment: Its too funny that you can't actually really see the first girls reflection, but you can see the two girls that are blocked off by here. Gives the impression of two completely different worlds, rather than a reflection of the one. I really like that.
I very much dislike the pink color cast though. Its too strong for me.
I think I would have tried to make this shot a vertical one, cutting out the stuff on the right within the window and also cutting off the left half face of the guy.
Great shot. 6 |
