Cool shot :) My only critique is the kids shoe is touching the fence which slightly un-seperates him from the background... its a little distracting once you notice it.
Not easy to have much of a choice on a shot like this though.

This was actually a one try shoot with a total of 3 (in air) shots, so in this case it wan't trial and error :D

Thanks for all the comments everyone!

@ ancientimages: No probelm :) I focused on the rose hips in the background and brought my hand in close to the camera. The bleeding edge around the fingers was there in the exposure from being out-of-focus but I also brought up the definition and contrast which helped bring out the glassy look.

@ EstimatedEyes: There is no intended religious association with the rose hips on the palms, purely artistic.
